Melbourne Queer Events
Queer Christmas is a FREE event focussed on connecting to community and like-minded queer, lesbian and sapphic babes.
This will be a casual event where you are welcome to come and stay for as long as you like :)
We will be meeting in a public park north of the city and having morning tea so we can all mingle and celebrate Christmas together in community 🎄

I ask that everyone bring:
A plate of something sweet or savoury to share
Your own drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
A small gender-neutral present for Secret Santa ($5-$10 max as I know it’s tough for a lot of people right now, especially at that time of the year)
I will send an email out closer to the event with the exact location, suggestions of food to bring, present suggestions and what to look out for on the day so that you can find us :)
I have made this an event through Eventbrite so I can get a rough idea of numbers as I’ll be bringing bits and pieces for us such as picnic rugs, plates, cutlery etc
If you have any questions or the like, please feel free to reach out to me via email at caitlinrosetaylor1@gmail.com

This circle is a blend of a traditional women’s circle, mixed with neo-tantric practices to allow for greater intimacy and self-connection, but created for queer and lesbian women & non-binary humans only to create a safe and nurturing space.

Then you get to honour that! All of the practices will be an invitation only. If it feels like a no for you, then you get to honour your body. I do invite a curiosity however, as to whether it's a boundary or perhaps an opportunity for you to lean into the discomfort and allow growth/healing to unfold

Absolutely :) The venue I have booked has a separate area for you to step out into if you are needing space to yourself.
-
I have struggled to find a venue that had a ground floor room that was available for the dates that I desired, so unfortunately the venue that I have booked has a few stairs to climb up initially. I endeavour to make accessible events moving forward and will do my best! x

It will be at a venue in Brunswick, just off Lygon Street, which is easily accessible via public transport and there is plenty of street parking around.

“I came in to the connected event feeling nervous and a bit closed off. Caitlin masterfully guided us through progressive connection and intimacy activities that allowed us to open up to ourselves and others.
This session was really beautiful and taught me many things about my inner world and connection to others. I would highly recommend Caitlin’s work so any Queer person looking to deepen all sorts of connection.
I’ve left this session with people who will hopefully become friends and perhaps lovers.”
~ EH ~
“Caitlin created a safe space that allowed us to practice heart-centered interactions to improve our intimacy skills that did not involve sex.
I think it’s a valuable workshop for anyone who wants to enhance their ability to connect to themselves and others through an embodied practice.”

Nope! It's an alternative to a speed dating event. What this means is that you will have an opportunity to connect intimately (both emotionally and physically) with other queer babes in a way that transcends the mind and opens your heart to receive another fully.
-
If you are an open couple, then you are welcome to attend if everyone feels safe and there is clear boundaries and communication around expectations, desires etc. Otherwise, it's a singles event :)
I will be running events specifically for couples in the future, so keep an eye out.

This event is capped at 20 participants in total. There will likely be 1 other person supporting me, so with myself and these supports, that equals 22 maximum.

Absolutely not! This is a platonic intimacy event, which will be connecting with others beyond the physical level in some of the practices. There will be no genital touch or sexual practices, it will be connection and emotional practices only. As mentioned above, everything will be an invitation.
-
No, this event is fully clothed.
