What does ‘Somatic Coaching’ mean?

Somatic coaching is a body-based approach to personal growth and transformation that honours the body as an essential source of wisdom. Rather than working solely through conversation or cognition, somatic coaching invites awareness of sensations, breath, movement, and nervous system responses as meaningful guides.

Our bodies carry lived experience, including stress, safety, desire, and resilience, and somatic coaching creates space to listen to these messages with curiosity and care.

In somatic coaching, the body is an active collaborator in the change process. We might explore how a pattern shows up physically, what the body needs in moments of contraction or overwhelm, or how safety and expansion are felt somatically.

By gently slowing down and tuning in, you can uncover unconscious habits and protective responses, and begin to meet them with choice rather than automatic reaction.

Somatic coaching supports sustainable change by working at the level where patterns are formed: the nervous system.

Rather than pushing toward outcomes or “fixing” oneself, this work focuses on building capacity, self-trust, and regulation. Through simple, attuned practices, you are supported to feel more present in your bodies, clearer in your boundaries and desires, and more resourced to move through life with steadiness, softness, and authenticity.
